It was a very interesting run for the Mazda Millenia from 1993 to 2002; this automobile can be viewed as a union between luxury and technology which solidifies its place in Mazda's history. The car was built for the luxury Amati brand at first, but it was sold under different names all over the world. For example, it was called Mazda Xedos 9 in Europe and Eunos 800 in Japan and Australia. The interior of the Mazda Millenia was top-tier that could be considered among other things as comfortable for its passengers. In addition, it had advanced technology such as the Miller cycle engine which was nowhere else found during those times and an optional four-wheel steering system available on some markets only. There were several trims for Mazda Millenia, but all of them shared two things: their 170 horsepower capable 2,5 liter V6 engines and high-quality interiors. The most powerful S model featured a supercharged 2.3-liter V6 with no less than 210 horsepower (much higher than any other model). Its ride quality may have been too soft for highways according to many critics who said so because this supercharged engine together with a suspension system enabled Millenia to compete against sport sedans besides luxurious ones. Being replaced by a Mazda 6 next year there weren't any significant changes made during its last year either since or not which would soon happen anyway. Nevertheless released more than twenty years ago even now design of the Mazda Millenia still whispers luxury thanks to sleek exterior lines combined with refined interiors displayed inside.
